Safeguarding
If you have information about a safeguarding situation where a child or adult is in immediate danger or requires immediate medical attention call the emergency services on 999. Do not delay. PARISH SAFEGUARDING PERSONNEL: Click here to read the Parish Safegaurding Policy. The PCC's Safeguarding Representatives are: Safeguarding Officer: Claudette Graham 02082057447 If you are concerned in any way about a matter related to the safeguarding of children or vulnerable adults at St Andrew's, please do not hesitate to contact our Parish Safeguarding Officer, the Churchwarden or the Parish Priest. DIOCESE OF LONDON SAFEGUARDING PERSONNEL: The Diocesan Safeguarding Team (DST), with each Area Bishop’s office and the Senior Staff, will ensure the overall management of safeguarding across the Diocese, drawing in specialist support as needed. Any concerns in the Diocese should be brought to the attention of the Church Safeguarding Officer (parishes) who can seek advice from the Safeguarding Team. Other areas of the Diocese (e.g. chaplaincies) should contact the DST direct. Out of hours advice can be sought from the CCPAS’s helpline on 0303 003 1111. You will be able to get confidential advice, guidance and support. Our Safeguarding Helpline number is 020 7932 1224 and the team email address is safeguarding@london.anglican.org. See our safeguarding support pages for more information about safeguarding policies, responsibilities, training and advice. CHURCH OF ENGLAND SAFEGUARDING PERSONNEL: The National Safeguarding Team, NST, is working to increase the capacity and expertise of parishes, dioceses and other Church of England institutions to respond to safeguarding concerns and support victims and survivors. We are not able to offer either an emergency or 24-hour response but there are Safeguarding Advisors in every diocese and Safeguarding Officers in every parish. Details of the safeguarding team based in your diocese can be found via the relevant diocesan website. Take a look at the map of the dioceses and click on the diocese where you live. This will take you to the relevant website where there will be contact information. |
